Reflect. Resist. Reclaim the Future.
A camp for people organized in Search and Rescue, flight, no-borders, decolonization & migration, as well as everyone connected to these struggles.
September 04. – 07.2025
10 Years of Solidarity & Resistance – Search & Rescue
We invite people with experiences of displacement, activists and allies to share experiences, reflect on our political strategies, learn from each other, and shape the next chapter in this movement.
For ten years, we’ve been fighting for civilian sea rescue, freedom of movement, and fundamental rights for all.
This anniversary is rooted in the broader struggle that emerged powerfully during the Summer of Migration – standing in solidarity with people on the move, resisting
the deadly fortress Europe, and fighting for a future without borders, but with justice and solidarity.
We are part of the Transnational Chain of Actions that is remembering 2015’s summer of migration.
We organize this camp from within the sea-rescue “bubble” and know our perspective is limited. That’s why we want to question these systems in our own work and make the camp as inclusive and accessible as possible. Read our full statement here.
This Camp is for You if…
- You’re active in sea rescue, solidarity work or support networks for people on the move
- You fight for freedom of movement and no borders.
- You are a person with lived experience of flight, migration, or seeking asylum and want to connect, share, and organize.
- You are engaged in anti-racist, decolonial, or migrant justice work.
- You are not organized yet, but are interested to join the struggles.
- You want to shape the next decade together.
Exchange. Learn. Organize. Whatever people want and can contribute will happen at the camp. It’s a participatory camp.

Accommodation & Facilities
Do I have to sleep in a tent or camper?
Not necessarily! While many people camp, we’ll provide limited indoor sleeping spaces or accessible alternatives — contact us if you need one.
What should I bring with me?
Bring weather-appropriate clothes, camping gear (tent, sleeping bag and mat…), , any meds you need, a towel for the sauna and things that make you feel comfortable.
Will there be an option to shower?
There is a lake at site, perfect for swimming and bathing. A few additional outdoor showers will be at the campsite.
Are there ATMs or card payment facilities on site?
No, unfortunately neither are available on site. We recommend bringing some cash with you.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome. They must be kept on a leash at all times on the festival grounds, but there are places outside the grounds where they can run around.
Is there a co-working space?
There will be a room for working on the festival grounds, equipped with tables and Wi-Fi.
Will there be a book exchange on site?
Yes! Feel free to bring your read books and exchange them with other participants!
Transportation & Getting There
How do I get to the camp? Is there public transport?
Yes, the camp is reachable by public transport. We’ll share detailed directions and options via mail after your registration. We will also provide shuttles between the train station and the camp.
Can I come by car or van? Are there parking spots?
There will be limited parking available. You can come with your van/car if you sleep in it, otherwise we encourage you to come with public transport, as we can’t guarantee for a parking spot. We encourage carpooling if possible!
Tickets & Costs
I only want to come for one day — do I still need to pay for a full ticket?
Generally we’d be happy to see you stay for the whole weekend in order to have the full experience of exchange and network building, so there’s no “One-Day”-Ticket. But of course you can come later or leave earlier. If so, you can write us and we can give you a voucher, so you don’t have to pay the full price.
I can’t afford the Soli-Ticket — can I still come?
Yes. We suggest a sliding scale contribution, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Accessibility involves financial access. If you can‘t afford it, just let us know — we’ll make it work.
Will food be provided?
Yes, we’ll have a kitchen crew supported by all of us offering vegan meals. Food and water is included in the ticket price. If you want to bring your own food, you are welcome to get a cheaper ticket via the ticket portal.
In addition, you can get coffee and other drinks at the bar. So, bring some cash for that 😉
Families & Children
Can I bring children?
Yes! Children are welcome. Please let us know during the registration for ticketing, how many children you will bring, so we can plan for food and childcare, as we will provide both on site. Children above the age of 14 will need a ticket for themselves. The Child Care Concept can be found here.
Workshops & Program
In what language will the workshops be held?
The main camp languages will be German and English and we will do our best to provide translation in both languages. If you need any other language or if you can support with translation, please let us know.
Is it possible for participants or organizations to sell merchandise or raise funds on site?
We are thrilled that many non-profit and mainly donation-funded organizations and initiatives are coming together in Biesenthal. The camp does not have the purpose or character to raise funds for the many diverse organizations, and we therefore believe that it is not the appropriate venue for this.
Connection
Are there ways to connect if I’m coming alone?
Lots of people come to camp without a group and that’s totally fine! We’re setting up a few simple ways to help you meet others and feel part of things from the start.
Here’s what’s in place:
Telegram Groups
Once you’ve got your ticket, you’ll get access to our Telegram info. It includes:
- A connection group to chat and find others before camp
- A carpool group for sharing rides
- A main channel for updates and practical info
Daily Meetups
There’s a short daily meetup at camp for anyone who wants to get to know others. It’ll be relaxed and open to all.
Shifts Together
Most camp shifts (kitchen, awareness, etc.) are done in small teams. They are a great chance to meet people while doing something useful. No need to worry about doing it alone.
Open Slot Sessions
We’ll have time set aside in the schedule where anyone can start a small group conversation or activity.
So whether you’re coming with a crew or not, there’ll be room to connect 🙂
Awareness and Accessibility
Where can I find more information on awareness and accessibility?
Awareness and Accessibility are essential for us. You can find the respective concepts under the following link: Awareness and Accessibility
